Spiritual
Holy Name Society   large product photo

A group of men, both young and old,  dedicated to the honor of the name of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.  In addition to providing spiritual development for its members, the group also contributes toward the temporal needs of the parish.  One of its main fundraisers are the famous Friday Fish Fry's held during the season of Lent.  The Holy Name Society also has a ministry of reciting the rosary at the wakes of all Holy Family parishioners along with the Altar & Rosary Society, and Holy Family Seniors. We hold a summer steak roast and a Christmas dinner for our members.
We attend Holy Mass as a group every second Sunday of the month, and we affirm our faith in Jesus as we recite aloud the Holy Name Pledge.

The Altar & Rosary Society

Love God! Live Nobly! Serve Others!

  large product photo

Our primary purpose is a spiritual one.  We attend the 8:30 a.m. Mass together on the first Sunday of the month.  Members practice devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary through the recitation of the Rosary.  We attend retreats and days of recollection. Our patron is St. Anne, the grandmother of Jesus.

Our secondary purpose is furnishing and maintaining the altar and the altar supplies, vestments for priests and servers, the altar breads, wine and candles, altar cloths and linens, incense supplies, and any other needs. Membership dues, fund-raisers and private donations fund these purchases.

Some of our activities include visiting the sick and attending funerals of the parish, organizing receptions for the parish, bringing Bingo to our area nursing homes, hosting our annual St. Patrick’s Day card party, and organizing the parish rummage sales—just to name a few.

Neocatechumenal Way   large product photo

The Neo-catechumenal Way is an instrument of service to the Bishop for the rediscovery of the Christian Initiation of baptized adults.  Among these, the following may be identified:
Those who have drifted away from the Church.
Those who have not been sufficiently evangelized and catechized.
Those who desire to deepen and mature their faith.
Those who have come from Christian denominations not in full communion with the Catholic Church.
The Neo-catechumenal Way seeks to foster in its recipients a mature sense of belonging to the parish, promoting a relationship of profound communion and collaboration with all the faithful and with the other elements of the parish community.

Within the parish, the Neocatechumenate is lived in small group communities modeled after the Holy Family of Nazareth, where Jesus became an adult, growing in “wisdom, age and grace.”  In this community the neocatechumens become adults in faith, growing in humility, simplicity and praise, and in submission to the Church.

We have two group communities in our parish.
Please contact the church office for more details.

Divine Mercy Cenecal   large product photo

This prayer cenacle was formed in September 2006.  Its primary purpose is to pray for God’s mercy upon all people, especially those most in need of God’s mercy.  We are always accepting new members.  A love of the Lord and a dedication to prayer is needed.
